Creating engaging content takes a lot of time, energy and effort, right? It takes even more time to repurpose that content across all the available channels and in all the different formats – print, audio and video.

Here’s a tool that can help lighten the load: Notebook LLM.

If you’re not familiar, Notebook LLM is a Google product and one thing that makes it stand out is the Audio Overview feature. Audio Overview takes existing content and turns it into a full podcast in minutes!!

Throughout this article I'll show you why podcasts are more important than ever, how easy it is to turn an existing piece of content into a podcast, as well as some ways to use this exciting tool.

The Importance of Podcasts Today

Our team recently updated a case study for our work with Lake Express. For those of you not familiar – Lake Express operates a high-speed auto and passenger ferry service on Lake Michigan; connecting Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Muskegon, Michigan. It will get you there in two and half hours – saving passengers a lot of time and avoiding the frustration that comes with Chicago traffic.

Ascedia created a reservation platform that has been a game-changer for the brand, so we took our case study and updated it with new results.

Now having a case study in a written format is one thing, but we live in a podcast age and a growing number of people prefer to get their information through this channel.

There are now over 70 million who have listened to a least one podcast. Think about where that number will be two to three years from now.

And if you’re trying to go after Millennials and Gen Z – having a podcast makes a lot of sense. According to Edison Research 61% of podcast listeners are in those demos.

So as marketers – we need to go where our customers are, and that means podcasts.

Until now, creating one took time and effort. Notebook LLM is changing that.

Turning A Case Study Into A Podcast

Here are the simple steps to creating a podcast with Notebook LLM:

  1. Go to Notebook LLM
  2. Hit the Create New black button
  3. Click on Upload sources and select your file. For this example, I turned our Lake Express Word document into a PDF and uploaded the PDF into Notebook LLM.
  4. Once you upload your file, the AI will create a summary of the document. See the screen shot below

Now, all you need to do is click the Load button and the AI will generate your podcast.

In minutes, Notebook LLM took our case study and turned it into a two-person nine minute and fourteen second podcast.

Additional Ideas For Using Notebook LLM

Ok, now that you know about this tool, here are a few ideas for you and your team to consider.

  1. Take some of your existing blog posts and turn them into podcasts.
  2. Take existing PowerPoint decks and turn these into podcast. This could be great for your sales team.
  3. Consider even non-sensitive internal documents that could be shared throughout an organization.

The bottom line is the more content formats, the more engagement.

A Content Management Institute report found that marketers who repurpose content in 3+ formats are 2X more likely to report strong ROI.

And with Notebook LLM you now have an easy and effective way to get existing content in front of more people!
