Custom Mobile App for Product Specification
Sub-Zero and Wolf
Sub-Zero and Wolf is committed to improving the design and installation process for trade professionals to encourage brand loyalty and streamline product selection and installation. The Sub-Zero and Wolf mobile app, by Ascedia, provides detailed product specification data at the job site without access to Wi-Fi or cellular service.

Challenge
Portability in the field was a key criteria, as was up-to-date product specification information. A mobile app for tablets and mobile devices was needed that could keep Sub-Zero and Wolf product information at users' fingertips when they're away from the internet, and sync updates when connected.
Solution
Ascedia worked with the Sub-Zero and Wolf team to define a mobile solution powered by product information with features informed by needs and traits of target audiences.
Common Codebase
After reviewing key traits of the target audience, Ascedia recommended using the Cordova platform to develop one code base that spans both Android and Apple devices.
Feed Powered
The mobile app uses an application programming interface (API) connection to pull data from the Sub-Zero and Wolf product information database and load it onto the mobile device so that users can access it without a data or Wi-Fi connection.
Network Aware
When the mobile app finds and connects to a network, the app provides notifications of new product data, allowing users to sync updated product information on the way to the job site.
Comprehensive
While on site, users can quickly and easily pull up produce information, data specification sheets, pdf's, installation instructions, measurements, and other detailed information. The app allows users to zoom into images for closer inspection and review.
User Driven Improvement
Since the app’s launch, user feedback has driven the development of new features. The app now allows users to bookmark specifications, forward specifications via email, and has improved search and navigation.
World Friendly
The mobile specification app fully supports trades users across the globe, in multiple languages, installation guidelines and region-specific product offerings.
