Milwaukee Irish Fest features a new stage scheduling system that displays festival entertainment line-ups along with band sound clips in a more streamlined and organized fashion. A new interactive section called “My Irish Fest” allows users to build and customize their very own Irish Fest itinerary. In addition to overall improved usability, Ascedia kept natural search engine optimization techniques top of mind while restructuring the website.
Milwaukee Irish Fest has become the world’s largest Irish music and culture festival. Since 1981, the four-day festival is held every year at Milwaukee’s lake front and celebrates the Irish heritage through music, dance, food, and cultural exhibits. Festival highlights include many performances from the local Milwaukee Irish Dance troupes and music from Irish artists from all over the world. Irish Fest has expanded beyond a mere four-day festival and has formed into a large-scale organization that includes its own special events center, offers summer and music school programs, and currently stores over 40,000 Irish sound recordings in its Ward Irish Music Archives.
