Since 1979, the Copernicus Foundation has sponsored the annual “TASTE OF POLONIA” outdoor festival – the largest Polish festival in the City.   The “TASTE OF POLONIA” offers a wide variety of live entertainment on 5 stages, food vendors serving the best of Polish cuisine, games of skill and chance, performances by ethnic dancers and musical groups, original arts and crafts, handiwork, imported items, as well as exhibits familiarizing festival goers with many aspects of Polish customs, culture, traditions and language.  Many languages are heard on the grounds because “Taste” has become one of the most popular ethnic fests in Chicago, drawing crowds well over 30,000 during its four day span.

Wisconsin Upside Down Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with Down syndrome, while supporting their families, and the community. They offer the best information, advocacy, and support available.

“It’s our goal to provide a comprehensive guide to the Clifton Hill area and make it as easy as possible for people to plan their trip and have the most fun by the Falls,” said Nicholas Tritchew, Project Manager.

The World’s Largest Brat Fest is an event held every Memorial Day weekend – rain or shine – with proceeds benefitting the local charities that help staff the event. Brat Fest is also about enjoying good food at great prices while celebrating Wisconsin’s heritage and the people who make Madison a great place to live.

The Task Force on Family Violence and the Sojourner Truth House merged last year and are now working together to provide education, advocacy and resources to keep people safe. They operate a 42-bed shelter that has provided safety and support services to thousands of women and children.
