Summerfest 2009 Mobile Map - Ascedia and FOX6 Partner to Put the World's Largest Music Festival on Your iPhone

Milwaukee based web design and development company, Ascedia, partnered with local news station WITI FOX6 to launch the 2009 Summerfest Mobile Map for the iPhone and iTouch.

Developed by Ascedia, the FOX6 Summerfest Map allows users to navigate Maier Festival Park easily, enabling users to find stages, band schedules, food, beverages and activities. You can even browse for music by genre. The map also displays any free or discount admission promotions for all entrance gates, and locations for all restrooms and ATMs. The content updates each day to reflect the changing music schedules and times, so it is always displaying the most accurate information.

Summerfest is a yearly music festival held at Henry Maier Festival Park along the lakefront in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The festival lasts for 11 days, is made up of 11 stages with performances from over 700 bands, and since the mid-1970s has run from late June through early July.  Summerfest attracts between 800,000 and 1,000,000 people each year, promoting itself as "The World's Largest Music Festival," a title certified by the Guinness World Records in 1999. Summerfest is run by Milwaukee World Festival, Inc.
